PNC Sponsors October 25th Silent Film, Now Featuring Organist Todd Wilson

On Sunday, October 25th at 4:00 PM, Stambaugh Auditorium will be presenting the silent film Phantom of the Opera
with organ accompaniment to a “sold-out” socially distanced audience. Due to unforeseen circumstances Peter Richard
Conte, the organist originally providing live accompaniment to the film, will be unable to travel to Youngstown for the
performance. Fortunately, the role has been filled by Severance Hall’s Todd Wilson.

Silent Film Tradition Continues at Stambaugh Auditorium in New Format

Stambaugh Auditorium will present the silent film Phantom of the Opera with organ accompaniment in a hybrid format
on Sunday, October 25th at 4:00 PM. The annual event typically fills the Concert Hall with over 1500 guests, but, this
year, for the safety of the patrons and staff the event will be different. The event will feature a small live audience in
addition to being live-streamed.

Stambaugh Auditorium Receives Grants to Support COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Stambaugh Auditorium has received a total of $11,420 in funding to be used for COVID-19 relief efforts. Three grants have been received from the following organizations to help offset overhead expenses associated with blood drives being conducted at Stambaugh Auditorium in response to the COVID-19 emergency

Stambaugh Auditorium Commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the First Meeting of the Board of Directors

On Monday, August 3 at 10 a.m., the members of the Board of Directors of the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association met to commemorate the 100t​h anniversary of the Association’s first board meeting which took place on August 3, 1920. At that time, the original trustees met to begin the process of carrying out the final wishes of Henry H. Stambaugh and to begin planning for the construction of Stambaugh Auditorium which opened in December of 1926.

Award-Winning Organist, Scott Dettra, to play at Stambaugh Auditorium

On May 31st at 4:00 PM, one of America’s leading concert organists, Scott Dettra, will be performing at Stambaugh
Auditorium. Mr. Dettra’s playing is praised for its clarity, rhythmic intensity, and musical elegance, and has been described by The American Organist as “music-making of the absolute authority and sophisticated expression.”

Stambaugh Youth Concert Band presents Spring Concert

The Stambaugh Youth Concert Band will present their spring concert featuring a selected senior soloist and the presentation of the Barbara Armstrong Scholarship award on Tuesday, April 7th at 7:30 PM. The SYCB is comprised of the top high school musicians from Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
