Stambaugh Auditorium Breaks Ground for Monumental Staircase and Facade Restoration Project
At a ceremony held Monday, June 7, 2021, officials from
Stambaugh Auditorium, members of the construction team and elected officials broke ground for a major capital project involving the replacement of the monumental staircase and restoration of the exterior facade of the historic auditorium.
Stambaugh Auditorium to present Award-Winning Organist, Joshua Stafford in Hybrid Format
Stambaugh Auditorium is delighted to announce the return of live organ concerts, beginning with award-winning organist, Joshua Stafford. The Sunday, May 16th concert will be presented at 4:00 PM to a socially distanced audience as well as being live-streamed on the Stambaugh Auditorium “Digital Concert Hall” app.
Beethoven Piano Recital to Premier Digitally
On Friday, April 2 at 6:00 PM students of Youngstown pianist and organist, Sean Baran, will present
three of Ludwig van Beethoven’s most compelling and exciting works for solo piano. The recital will stream live for free in The Digital Concert Hall app.
Stambaugh Youth Concert Band Presents Spring Concert Featuring Senior Soloist
The Stambaugh Youth Concert Band will close their 2020-2021 Season with a spring concert featuring a Senior Soloist, Justin Brown, and the presentation of the Barbara Armstrong Scholarship on Tuesday, April 13th at 7:30 PM. For the safety of the patrons, musicians, and staff, a limited number of in-person seats will be available in addition to being live-streamed.
Youngstown Chapter of AGO presents Digital Member’s Recital
The Youngstown Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) presents the Digital Member’s Recital, premiering this Friday, February 26 at noon. The concert can be enjoyed on The Digital Concert Hall app.
Elected Officials Announce Capital Budget Appropriations for Local Arts Organizations
At an event held this morning at Stambaugh Auditorium, State elected officials announced over $1.3 million in capital budget appropriations for local arts venues. Guy Coviello, Regional Chamber Foundation President, announced that of the $2.1 billion capital appropriations budget for fiscal years 2021 – 2022, a total of $3.7 million is allocated for projects in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Of the $3.7 million for Mahoning and Trumbull counties, 36% or a total of $1,315,000 is allocated for projects to support local arts venues.
