YOUGNSTOWN, OH (April 5, 2024): In partnership with the Hart’s School of Performing arts, YourArts is announcing the return of its annual Youth Summer Camp. The camp will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 to Friday, August 2, 2024 at Stambaugh Auditorium. The purpose of the Arts Camp is to increase children’s access to, knowledge of, and appreciation for the performing arts.

The five-day camp will host up to 30 local school-age children, between ages 6 and 12, culminating in the production of their own original plays at the conclusion of the week. Registration opens April 5, 2024 and closes July 15, 2024 at www.experience your arts.org.

Students will be welcomed each day at 10:00am and their day will conclude at 2:00pm. Each day, the students will work with teachers of the Hart’s Performing Arts School as well as Ms. Shiloh Hart, Owner and Executive Director of the School. In their workshops students will write skits, learn songs, and make props and costumes in preparation for their performance on Friday, August 2.

About the Hart’s Performing Arts School and Ms. Shiloh Hart:
Harts School of the Performing Arts is led by Shiloh Hart, and located in Warren, OH. The mission of Hart’s School of Performing Arts is “to educate youth to explore their interests and passions in a world that tells them to be ordinary. Here, we dare to be unapologetic in our pursuit of performance.” Ms. Hart – a Niles native and 2011 graduate of the Akron School for the Arts – is an accomplished musician and vocalist, proficient in over a dozen instruments including alto/tenor saxophone, tuba and piano. Her journey in performance has led her everywhere from Broadway to Nashville. Also a songwriter, she has recorded her own music and performed in over a hundred musical theater performances throughout the area.
